It’s the age of the internet and everyone has a website. The pros? It’s so much easier to advertise. Anyone can create a website for their business, and it’s only getting easier to do so. The cons? Well, everyone has a website, and the competition is immense.
Your website is often the first interaction potential-customers have with your business, and first impressions count—especially over the internet. Doing what I do, I’ve seen some great websites, and some horrible websites. Just because anyone can have a site, doesn’t mean they should be the one designing it. It’s an art, and it takes a lot of know-how to entertain, engage, and inform customers all at once. Below are some tips I believe will help make your website stand out from the competition:
Remember, Content is King
Too often websites are full of buzzwords and give very little information. If I can’t figure out exactly what you do within a minute of getting on to your website, then something’s gone wrong. Just throwing out phrases like “technology-based solutions” and “thinking outside the box” tells me nothing, which doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. No matter what you do with your website design, remember that content is king. Prove to potential clients that you are experienced and know what you’re doing.
Keep it User-friendly
Sometimes people get so caught up in being creative and trying new designs that they forget the customer. Websites should be user-friendly. If I can’t figure out how to interact with your site, I’m not likely to spend the time learning to do so. Be creative, let your website pop, but don’t forget the basics.
Create Consistent Branding
Think before you create. Everything you do should be intentional and consistent—from the colors and font, to the photography style and general vibe. Your brand is meant to thoughtfully demonstrate who you are and what you stand for. By knowing who you are and consistently branding your web pages, your website will stand out from the competition. Don’t confuse your customer with off-brand pages.
Take Time to Write Creative Bios
Prospective clients feel more comfortable knowing who they’re working with. A website isn’t meant to keep you anonymous, but showcase your work and successes. When it comes to employee bios, have some fun with it. Establish yourself not only as an expert, but as an individual.
Don’t Forget Social Media
Not only is social media a good way attract traffic to your site, but it also establishes a certain amount of reputability. Social media allows you to showcase your business and personality, while also legitimizing your work. A business with a strong and active social media presence looks like it’s on top of things.
Bonus #6 Invest in a Great Web Designer
I can’t stress this enough—a good web designer is worth every penny. While it’s become easier to design your own website, you don’t necessarily want to do that. You’ll most likely end up using WordPress templates that have been used over and over again. By bringing in an experienced web designer, you’ll get a creative website that is also user friendly. A good web designer will think about your needs, as well as the needs of a prospective client. If you truly want to make your website stand out, find someone who isn’t limited to preset templates.
There’s nothing worse than the sinking feeling you get when you realize you’ve put your trust in the wrong person. Website development and maintenance is difficult for you, so you found some outside help. Unfortunately, who you thought was a lifesaver has turned out to be a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Your webmaster is MIA. You can’t login to your website. You can’t make changes without their consent. Maybe they’ve decided to charge you an exorbitant amount of money for access? Your website is being held hostage, and you don’t know what to do.
I’ve heard it all before. While most webmasters a legitimately there to help, there are some who would prey on the vulnerable—people who don’t quite know how their site works, or how to keep control over it.
If you find yourself in this horrible position, there are some steps you can take to get your website back.
Determine if you own your domain name
This is important. If you own the domain, you’re in good shape. However, sometimes people let their web developer purchase the domain name on their behalf. In this case, the developer owns the domain name. Can you get it back? Maybe. More often than not, it’s gone.
If you are unsure as to whether or not you own your domain name, look it up on Whois. A Whois search will also provide the domain name registrar—where you registered your domain name. The “registrar” determines who has access to your domain name and who can make changes. If you have forgotten your login and password to your domain registrar, don’t panic. Most registrars have policies on how to handle clients who have lost their information.
Create a backup
This may seem obvious, but many don’t realize it’s possible to save their website like they would save a Word document. When dealing with a hostile webmaster who might just decide to delete everything, having a backup can be a lifesaver. There are a couple of ways to create this backup:
Ask your hosting company: Many hosting companies already provide backups, but don’t just assume that yours does. Contact the hosting company and ask.
Ask your webmaster: A good, trustworthy webmaster can create the copy for you.
Use a WordPress Plugin: If you need to create the backup on your own, there many WordPress Plugins that can assist you.
File Transfer Protocol: Or FTP for short. There are many FTP Clients available for free. One good FTP Client is FileZilla. Here is a quick article that will take you through the transfer process. There are also many video tutorials on Youtube.
Even if everything is going well with you webmaster, be sure to backup your site. An unsupportive webmaster isn’t the only thing you need to look out for. Your website could get hacked, it could crash, it could break after an update, or you could delete something important by accident. Not to mention computer viruses. It’s always best to be safe!
Get a new web hosting company
Once you have a backup of your site, you can more easily transfer them to a new server. The web hosting company is where your site is physically hosted on a server. Before you choose your host site, do some research. Which hosting company has the best customer support? Do they control their own servers? Have reviews of the hosting company been positive overall?
Once you choose your new web hosting company, you can upload your website. If you find the process confusing, call the technical support for your web hosting company, and they will help you—if you’re lucky, they’ll do it for you. When everything is said and done, and your site is linked new name servers on your new hosting company, the Whois database should update within 24 hours.
Then, say goodbye to your evil webmaster!
A Few Parting Tips
If you decide to use an outside web partner to help develop and maintain your site, you need to be smart about it. Ask questions. Read any contracts involved. Will you own the site even if they built it? Would you own the content? Make sure they give you the following information:
The name of the web hosting company that hosts your website (as well as contact info).
A URL, username, and password for your website.
A list of any other software or WordPress plugins used to create your site.
FTP server name, web address, username and password.
If you have access to all of this information, it will be easier to fix any problem that may arrise. If you have none of the above, and something happens to your site, you may have to build a new one with a new domain name. Not ideal for any established business.
If possible, create an “emergency website budget.” Things can get messy, so it’s always best to be prepared.

Having a video on your website is one of the biggest factors you need to rank well on google especially if that video is on YouTube.
Websites with video are 53 times more likely to rank in the top 10 than websites without video.
You need to embed a YouTube video NOT a Vimeo video or any other videos. I know there is controversy about that… Just use YouTube Google likes there product better.. just use YouTube.
Also, you need to include closed captioning. Otherwise google doesn’t know what your saying. so you get no SEO credit for the video being about your keywords make sure the video title matches your keywords use the exact same keywords in the videos description.
#2 Depth of Content
Have 1k words per page.
Create “how to content”… don’t sell on the front page –
“because google wants businesses to need to pay to use google ad words”
If you use your keyword in your content too many times then you will look like spam in googles eyes and could crush your ranking!
#3 Basic Meta Tagging
Have a URL that matches keyword you want to rank for. For example “https://greenforestmarketing.com/gilbert-arizona-marketing-blog/” not “about-us”. Use long tail URLs.
Make sure to add these meta tags…
Code your website with H1 tags – Your text should be keywords. Don’t think slogans.. think keywords!

If you land on a page and there are a bunch of ads and the websites attempts to hi-jack your web browser and you leave the page quickly
as opposed to if you have meaningful content on your website and you stay on the website for a long time jumping back to google quickly means spam.
Your traffic tells google whether your website is spam or meaningful.
How quick is quick?
For a small business the average life of your website traffic is 8 seconds. That means after 8 seconds after a visitor arrives on your website they are back at google looking for the next search result.
Get your website time above that and your traffic is telling google that you are the next wikipedia, anything below that your traffic is telling google that your spam.
One way to get your time above the 8 seconds is make your website 1 page
Linking to many pages on the menu does not help get you above the 8 seconds. Having a simple nice flow to your website where all the user needs to do is scroll and not visit a bunch of pages – too much work.
Simple is good. confusing your visitors or giving them too much to look at will drive traffic away from your site
Another way to get your website above the 8 seconds is by putting your video at the very top of the page of the website! Keep the video to 60 to 90 seconds
– Imagine that your keeping your website visitor on your website for 60 to 90 seconds. That’s a long time for google and good for your website.

Google doesn’t think your website should be a dead end. You need to have your website be well connected by having people like to your website and your website links to other websites.
Have a list of 12 websites that link to other websites just make sure that your not driving them to leave your site. Keep them lower on the page as resources.

So which hashtags should you use?
Just like with Twitter and other social sites, users on Instagram use certain hashtags over others. If you use the right hashtags within your photos, you’re much more likely to reach new users and be discovered.

If you looked at the list above and said “But none of those apply to my products or brand”, you’re likely correct.
Using hashtags is one thing, using the right tags is a completely other thing. Popular tags like the ones listed above will likely net you additional engagement and likes, however, they will not lead to increased long-term engagement, new interested followers and most importantly, sales.
If you want to tag your photos properly, you’ll need to find and use the most relevant hashtags. This means doing the appropriate research to make sure you’re using the most relevant hashtags that not only describes your brand, but is also being searched for on Instagram.
To find relevant hashtags, you’ll want to use a free online program like IconoSquare or Websta.
Protip #1: Keep in mind that Instagram allows for a maximum of 30 hashtags per post. Additionally, the popular words will change over time, so make sure you revisit your hashtag keywords every few months to make sure you’re using the best possible terms.

One of the best ways to find and attract new following is by seeking out your closest competitors’ Instagram accounts and engaging with their audience. These people have already shown some level of interest in the products you carry simply by following your competitors’ account.
So how do you effectively steal your competitors’ followers?
You can steal your closest competitors’ followers by engaging with them. There are several ways to engage with Instagram users, and predictably, the more work you put in, the more followers and return engagement you’ll get out of it.
The three types of engagement on Instagram are:
Follow a user
Like a photo
Comment on a photo
I ran an informal test with my business account to see how my competitors’ followers responded to my marketing advances. I targeted the followers of a close, local competitor. Since I know many of his followers would be local, I added my city to my profile to create a greater sense of familiarity between my brand and the people I am targeting.
I began by simply following 100 of my competitor’s followers. Later, I followed another 100 of my competitor’s followers but I also took the time to like one of their photos. Finally, I followed another 100 of my competitor’s followers and commented on one of each of the 100 user’s photos as well as liked that same photo.
Here were the results:
Follow: 25% followback
Follow + Like: 25% followback
Follow + Like + Comment: 50% followback
Although the are many variables and the test was far from scientific, the results were clear. The more you put in and engage with people, the more you’ll get out of it.

5. Sponsored Posts and Product Reviews
All this optimized posting to your account is great but if you really want to make an impact, you need to take advantage of influencer marketing on Instagram, exposing your brand to a wider audience.
Start selling more on Instagram with product tags.
Instagram is partnering with Shopify to offer easy product tagging in 2018.
First, unlike the tactics above to grow your account this one isn’t free. However, if done correctly, it’s good value.
To get started, you’ll need to make a list of large accounts in your niche. For example, if you sell beauty products, you’ll want to find large accounts from beauty bloggers.
You may already be following these accounts, if not you’ll need to find them. One of the best ways is to use Webstagram and search for some of the closest hashtag keywords you uncovered in the beginning of this post. When you do a search for your keywords, not only will it show you the related keywords, but it also shows you the top Instagram accounts that feature those keywords.
There are a few things to look for in the profiles results:
Large following – Usually 20k-200k
An email address in the profile
If there is an email address in the profile, it usually means they’re open to sponsored posts. You’ll want to email them and ask them their sponsored post pricing. In general, I have found the average rate to be around $20-$50 per post, depending on the size of their following. However, if you’re selling an unique and original product, you may also want to consider sending them your product to review and post. The more natural and less advertisement like the image, the greater the engagement and response usually.

Facebook Pages can also keep your personal Facebook activity private so your customers or clients won’t see what you share with your friends and family. Some people like that personal touch, but if that concerns you, you can set your privacy level to ‘Friends Only.’
According to Facebook, Groups are for “small group communication and for people to share their common interests and express their opinion,” but there are several ways they can be useful to your business.
Until 2007, Groups were the primary way for a business to communicate with their customers via Facebook. This changed when Facebook introduced Pages.For a business, author, or musician the main difference between a Group and a Page is exclusivity. Anyone can Like and Follow a Page, you need to be accepted or invited into most Groups. Groups can be set to invite only, or even secret (so only those who are invited can even see they exist).
Groups also make it easier to have free-flowing conversations, so many businesses choose to have both a Facebook Page and one or more Groups, depending on their needs.
Groups can be used to:
Keep in touch with staff – A Group with all your employees or volunteers allows for easy scheduling, discussion of business matters, or even provide a place to socialize.
Select your best customers for research – Groups can be a great way to conduct research with a select few of your most loyal/dedicated customers.
Reward customer loyalty – You might use groups as an exclusive reward only for customers who have purchased from you. This is the perfect place to give them some special group-only offers to encourage return business. A Group like this could equally be used for follow-up questions they might have about your product.
Stage product launches – Test products before launch (or ones you are considering adding to your inventory) with a select few customers, or create exclusive groups for specific products.
Share expertise for free – Offer your time to people to promote your product or service. Some people create Groups in tandem with an online webinar or class.
Create a community or networking group – You could create a more general community around what you do. If you’re a bookstore, you could organize people around literacy or writing activities. A hospital could have a Group tied to a fun run that they sponsor.
Collaboration groups – Create a Group for people that could be interesting to collaborate with to share ideas in a mutually beneficial way.
Facebook Live is an exciting way to connect with your customers via your Page.
This feature allows you to broadcast live video to your audience. Facebook Live totals has shown six times more interactions on average than non-live videos. This is because it is exciting to people about getting LIVE NEWS, or that we are increasingly brought up in an environment where videos take precedence over the written word.
Facebook’s advertising platform offers many ways to reach new and existing customers. Facebook ads are best used in conjunction with your Facebook Page. Here are a few reasons why.
Your Page is a useful source to direct people who click on ads. Also, you may gain likes as a bonus result of advertising, expanding your reach further. These people will then see your future posts and could become customers at a later date.

I recently went to a seminar called “Thrive”. The whole theme of the conference was about making your money matter and having a purpose in your business. I met a lot of great people at this event (the second picture is with me and Tai Lopez which is part of my inspiration to start my marketing business) This conference changed the way I am going to do business and made me want to involve having purpose for my business.
If you’re wondering “How can I have purpose in my business?”
Then you can accomplish this by involving your business in donating to non-profits and you can choose to donate up to 1%, 10%, or even 40% of your profits to a charity/non-profit that matters to you and that you’re passionate about. Another way you can have purpose in your business to make your companies money matter is by hiring people who need a second chance like disabled people or veterans or people who have to be in jail or homeless people.
You can also involve having a passion product for your business. For example, Tom shoes did have a purpose in their business for every shoe that somebody bought they would donate a second pair of shoes to somebody in other countries. Tom’s Shoes donated so many shoes that they disrupted the economy in those countries. You too can do that for your business and make an impact. If you’re not doing shoes, then maybe a T-shirt or socks and under garments for the less fortunate. If you’re not in the products business and only do services like a chiropractor or a mechanic, then you can donate a portion of your profits whether it be one or 10% of your profits can go to donating to people like a cause that matters to you like donating to people who are hungry or any cause that is most meaningful to you.
You can even build the donations into the cost of your service if your profit margin is thin, people don’t mind paying a little extra for something especially if it’s helping someone else.
Having something like that in your business where you impact other lives and have a cause that makes your money matter then people tend to support your business more. Especially if they believe in the cause that you believe in. That’s an example of how your business can go viral! Imagine your business is supporting a nonprofit that helps kids who have diabetes and then people will support your business more and tell friends and family about it.
That’s one of the factors why Tom shoes and many other companies go viral by having a cause in their business and making their money matter. If you want to make your money matter then start implementing one of the 3 steps

Pick something that you believe in, not what you think your customers believe in. Your customers will support you and that’s a part of why people do business with you because they relate to you.
After a few years of working with many business owners and entrepreneurs who are just starting out I have noticed a few key differences that I feel are worth writing about since most people loosely use the term “business owner” and “entrepreneur” The main difference between a business owner and an entrepreneur is the fact that an entrepreneur has an idea that they want to implement and a business owner is somebody who’s looking at their profit and loss statements.
An entrepreneur has big dreams and lots of motivation to get started but waits until the right time to do it. Entrepreneurs also try and focus on getting the product or service perfect without testing the market.
This mentality stops them from getting any traction in their business because once they implement something they think is right then they wait until they know the next “right” decision. Then they may completely change their mind on the whole idea they had. I bet you know someone who has this trait.
A business owner has great ideas too but executes on their ideas they don’t try and do it perfectly but they do it even if it’s not perfect and implement their ideas into their business. They aren’t worried about being perfect because “perfect” is like chasing a mirage.
Both the entrepreneur and small business owner aren’t perfect and they both have different struggles. The business owner is trying to keep everything working together and keeping the system working together while the entrepreneur is worried about figuring out how to get started right.
The key is to get started, if you find yourself in this position as an entrepreneur then my advice to you whether you’re in your early 20s or your late 60s would be to experiment with as many things that you think that you like to do and try them all! Find that main one thing that you absolutely love to do with passion, and once you find that then you get started without worrying about the “right” decision and trying to be “perfect”. Let go of any perfect standards that you set for yourself.
On the flipside, if you’re a business owner who’s implementing and working hard trying to keep the system together then my advice to you is to build a team of people who believe in you and what you stand for and fire quickly if you have a person with negativity toward you or the business. They are like poison to a business.

I have been working with many business owners and doing marketing for them and I have seen a lot of common things I should bring to everyone’s attention. This is meant to teach people what to do and not to do in order to succeed in the social media world.
1. Boost Posts
There is no particular order to this list but this is the #1 mistake I see people making in there business is that they think they are advertising there business by boosting there posts. This is a false way of advertising your business because

Facebook ads tend to have a bigger immediate impact and translate directly to campaign goals, like lead captures, app installations, and sales.
Boosted posts will allow you to build your brand’s reach and fan base, while ads can help you translate your brand’s presence into tangible outcomes.
Just to be clear, one is not better than the other. There is a time and a place for each use, like using a different tool for the job… You don’t always want to use a hammer, sometimes you will need a wrench.
2. Sticking to ONE MEDIA
A lot of talk is going on about how video is “King” and it is. How often do you find yourself on a webpage just searching for the video to explain what the website is all about? The only problem is that people forget about everything else, especially on social media and they only post videos. On the contrary, there are people afraid of posting/making video and need to post more video.
Where do you fall in?
Everyone should cover basis on the media they post video, pictures, meme’s, and write. Start doing a podcast for your business, you have so many options for your business.
3. Posting About One Subject
All they post about is selling there product/service. This is something I see people doing who have really small businesses/MLM business who manage there own social media and business at the same time!
Social Media is a commitment and can be a time waster if you get distracted on it. When all you do is focus on sales then that will be the LAST thing you will get.
Post variety in your social media that you choose, try something fun like hosting a party and create an event for people to subscribe to. Even try inviting people to see what you do on a daily basis and how your product helps without being too sales-y.
4. Boring Content
Just like posting about the same subject which is very annoying and comes across as spam posting boring content is useless!
What is boring content? Boring content is when there is no purpose to your post. For example, when people talk about themselves and why they are the best or why there product/service is the best. Nobody cares until you care about them, show your audience you care.
Another example is when you re-post content from other sources. It’s okay to share something you saw on another website that you thought was great or helpful, but if that’s a majority of what your page does then you probably won’t get too far with your marketing.
A hint that your content might be boring is if no one is liking or sharing what you post about.

5. Facebook Live
Many people get nervous when going Facebook live because it’s not like a video you can delete it if you mess up or can’t think of what to say. It’s intimidating!!! So most don’t do it, but I guarantee you that if you do Facebook Live 10 times within 2 weeks then you will get better at it.
The advantage here is if you start doing it you will get better, it’s not about doing Facebook Live perfectly and being an expert at it. No one is, it’s mainly about being entertaining and engaging to your audience. People will stick along no matter how long your Live video is as long as it entertains them.
6. No Sales Funnel
If you are selling any product (physical/information) or a service then you need to have a sales funnel. You may be asking “why?” or saying “Your Wrong” but the truth is sales funnels help you find that perfect customer/client that you are looking for while getting them to believe in what you do or what your selling.
The trick is finding a small audience and being an expert to that group and you need to niche down on who your audience is. For example, if you are a dentist who specializes in doing teeth implants for senior citizens. Another example, if you are a coffee shop that sells coffee to college students who like rock music in your local city.
Once you become the expert or “go to” person in your market for your product/service then you can grow, but it starts with picking a niche. When you collect leads you need to capture a name, email, and cell phone number. Those are extremely important no matter what niche you are going after.
7. Website is NOT Mobile Optimized
There is a lot of talk of mobile friendly website, mobile optimized, and mobile responsive designs. Let’s define them before getting started…
Mobile friendly – Refers to a site that displays accurately between your desktop/laptop computer and a mobile device such as a handheld phone or tablets. While it will appear smaller on a phone and may not work perfectly on a touchscreen tablet, a mobile friendly website will be perfectly functional. Many developers view mobile friendly as a “best practice” for all website developments. Which is not good for the end user, it’s just plain laziness.
Mobile optimized – This is a more advanced website. Mobile optimized means that the site will reformat itself for a list of handheld or tablet devices. Larger navigation buttons, reformatted content, and differently optimized images appear when the user is on an iPhone or other device.
Responsive design – This is a method of developing a website that is completely adaptable regardless of the device you are using. Rather than detecting a specific browser type or device type, the website automatically orientates itself based on the screen size of the device. A combination of reformatting and re-optimizing the site in order to give the best user experience.
Now that you know there is a difference, let’s face the facts; more and more people everyday are using a cell phone. With that being said you need to make sure your website looks good on a mobile device! People are browsing the internet more on a tablet/cell phone more than a computer.
If someone visits your website and it is NOT mobile responsive then people may not choose to do business with you or think you’re out of business.
8. Direct Messaging People
Warning, you need to have a plan before you DM someone. If you are not direct messaging people to get your name out to someone with a much large audience than you then you are not using social media to your advantage. I am not saying to go out there and try to spam everyone or get them to buy your product, that’s a good way to get blocked because you’re going about it the wrong way.
If you’re looking to market your product, then find an influencer. Someone who has an audience of minimum of 5,000 followers. Let him/her know that you love there social media page and that you will give them your product/service for free. Do that to 10 influencers a day and you will find that 1-2 will post about the freebie you gave them and there audience will see it and visit your page!
Don’t demand for them to post about your product, simply ASK them to share and reward them. Don’t do a “this for that” “share for a share” it looks like some kind of contract or agreement you had, that looks fake.
9. They Don’t Have a Database of Contacts
This is an absolute MUST in today’s world! If you are a business owner, you should have some type of database of prospects/customers in your contacts. With that database I hope you are communicating with them on a daily basis and reminding them who you are. Yes you need to email/communicate with them on a daily basis because we live in a world with too many “shiny” objects and companies saying they have the hottest new hack out there.
If you have earned that customers trust and business in the past then make sure you stay in front of your customers mind. Make sure you are cleaver and make your email fun to read, tell your customers something silly like “Hello my fine feathered friend” something that gets their attention away from what they are presently doing which is checking there emails so they do have a minute to look at what you sent them.
I can dive really deep into this one, I would say that emailing your customers is the least utilized tool by most small business owners. Don’t try it once and say “it didn’t work for me” try it atleast 10 times in the next 2 weeks, average about 1 per day.
10. They Don’t Know / Track Who There Audience Is
This is a learning course in this topic alone, there is a lot that goes into finding your audience. If you are just beginning to find your audience or starting over then write your content or market like you are speaking to one person. Create an avatar in your mind of who you are looking for and be very specific on gender, relationship status, age, kids/no kids, favorite sport, pets, home life, job, finances, and that avatars life.
If you have an audience already then you can tract them in one of many ways…
Google Analytics: All users remain anonymous and contribute to the collective data. Any demographic or socioeconomic data around those users comes from what Google knows about them.
Facebook Audience Insights: Similar to Google, all users remain anonymous and contribute to the collective data. Also, any demographic or socioeconomic data around those users comes from what Facebook knows about them. Facebook knows everyone’s interests, groups they like, music, movies, and so much more.
Marketing automation: When users fill out a form on your website, that individuals information goes directly into your marketing automation funnel. It puts there name with social profiles and possibly a face with your database. Now, you can track how this individual interacts with every aspect of your marketing from first to last touch, which are primarily top-of-funnel activities. In addition, marketing automation platforms go beyond your website to incorporate your emails and social media content, too.
CRM: This software typically is connected to the sales team. It also is used to track the individual prospect through the sales process but typically focuses on activity in the middle and bottom of the funnel.
Lastly, you can connect your marketing automation tools to the most popular CRMs. Some of the popular CRMs are Salesforce, hubspot, and insightly. Integrating the two enables sales and marketing teams to better communicate. They can see all the data available that helps complete a sale, which helps them understand which leads are good (and why).
*Bonus Tip! – Creating a second personal profile for there business
DO NOT create a second Facebook personal account for your business. I repeat. DO NOT create a second Facebook personal account for your business. This is because there is a “business page” designed specifically for your business on Facebook. I see this way too many times and they think it’s a better way because you can request many people to be your friend rather than getting someone to “Like” your page (although the concept is still the same)
Friend vs Like. The only difference is that Facebook limits (limit at 5,000) how many friends you can have on your personal Facebook, a business page can have unlimited “Likes”
Having 2 personal Facebook accounts that either have your name or are linked back to you is way too confusing and the 2nd Facebook account usually looks like a fraud or spam account.
